Building a supportive community. The past year proved difficult for many in our creative community. The economic downturn has affected our friends and associates, while few businesses have avoided significant changes in their daily practices. In challenging times, we’ve found strength in the unwavering support and empathy from those who share our creative passion—and the CADC continues to be a proud facilitator of those relationships.

We need your participation. Our organization grows stronger as we work together to strengthen the collective voice that shapes our industry. Our club wants to encourage you to play an active role in supporting the creative community throughout the year. Help sustain the momentum starting with our “Back to Cool” opening event, to our Student Conference and culminating with the Annual Awards show in June.

In the upcoming year, we’re planning a series of events where you can share your experiences, be inspired, and exchange ideas and information with fellow professionals. We have an outstanding board of volunteers who are generating programs focused on relevant topics including business development, sustaining creativity, social media and community connections.

Throughout the 2009–2010 season we will work tirelessly to find new benefits for our members and fresh ways to engage the creative community. Your participation, valuable insight and experience benefit the CADC, and our success is measured by your involvement. We encourage you to become a member and join the dialogue.

Welcome to the 35th season of the Connecticut Art Directors Club. It starts with you.

Respectfully Yours,

Troy Monroe
