Full-time Graphic Designer
Elements, a full-service graphic design + marketing communications firm located in Branford, CT seeks a full-time Graphic Designer to start immediately. We work hard, have fun and handle a daily mix of projects including: annual reports, identity, direct response, POP displays, advertising, promotions, brand strategy, packaging, public relations, exhibits, publications, and web design. The perfect candidate will be passionate about all things design and/or marketing and will be ready to roll up their sleeves and jump in with both feet wherever assistance is needed.
We are seeking another smart, professional, creative and talented designer to join our growing team. This is a full-time salaried position.
The successful candidate will work closely as part of our team to create a variety of projects. The role will vary from project to project and day to day. The person weąre looking for should be able to work independently, execute someone elseąs vision as well as their own. Also key is the ability to work with clients directly and manage project budgets and deadlines as well as handle every aspect of a project from initial rough concepts, to making quick edits, print production experience, contributing your own unique vision on projects, and everything in-between.
Qualifications:
- Bring fresh ideas, a unique perspective and sense of humor
- Demonstrate an excellent eye for color, composition, type and detail.
- Called a perfectionist˛ by your peers
- 1- 3 years design firm or equivalent experience
- A portfolio exhibiting a strong creative ability with diversity of style appropriate to a diverse range of projects, unique in its solutions and with flawless execution.
- Support brand guidelines through quality design work
- Work efficiently within a busy environment and meet deadlines
- Superior written, verbal and interpersonal skills a must
- Proficiency in all Macintosh design programs required
- Generate multiple and distinct design concepts and to self-edit
- Provide constructive creative feedback to other designers
- Receive constructive creative feedback from other designers
- Present personal work and the work of others in a well-articulated, professional manner
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a group
- Experience preparing projects to print
- Organized, thorough and with experience solving complex problems
- Experience with web, electronic media, and PowerPoint design is a must
