About the presentation Join us on May 3rd for the fourth edition of The Standard, focusing on Scoring and Folding, an integral part of any printed piece but one of the most underutilized as a creative tool. We’ll take you though folding basics, do’s and don’ts and a demonstration of scoring differences, actual in-use case studies and seven folding samples that readers can hold and try themselves. It’s a night that puts fun in folding and adds style to scoring. Adding to the presentation, we’ll have Structural Graphics showcasing some of their work. This is our second studio-hosted event of the year, so stop in to meet friends and future-friends and get a quick tour of Outthink’s space! All attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the latest Standard Volume 4. This will be a great opportunity to meet fellow creatives and deepen your print design knowledge. Please rsvp here by Monday, May 2nd or purchase your tickets now.

Sappi Fine Paper North America's roots can be traced back as far as 1854 to the S.D. Warren Company, who owned and operated the Westbrook mill and several other U.S. paper mills, up until its acquisition by Sappi Fine Paper North America in 1995. Today Sappi is the preeminent producer of coated fine paper in North America — with a production capacity of 1.3 million tons of paper annually. They are also responsible for many industry firsts, such as the first paper coated and calendered on 2 sides, first dull coated paper, and the first mill branded LOE paper. Later, LOE became the first premium sheet with 30% post-consumer waste content. They were also the first to implement Elemental Chlorine (ECF) Free bleaching practices at all of their pulp mills Sappi continues to invest in projects to reduce solid waste, wastewater and air emissions, and improve water and energy utilization. Each of their mills implements internationally-recognized environmental management systems to ensure that current and planned operations and expansions meet all legislative requirements. They are also committed to improving the communities where their employees live and work.
